Tree Tagging

  • Where: Tree tagging will be held at the farm stand lot only:
    49 Seekonk Road, Great Barrington, MA 01230
  • Pickup: Tagged Trees will be freshly cut, trimmed and baled ready for pick up at the farm stand on either Friday 11/20, 11/27, 12/4 and 12/11‍
  • You may not cut your own tagged tree

COVID GUIDELINES

We have established the following protocols in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers and staff during the Covid-19 Pandemic:

  • The processing tents and retail sales areas will be one way traffic only, with a separate entrance and exit.
  • Face coverings must be worn within 6ft of all workers and other customers or when entering buildings or near processing areas.
  • Our fire pits will be closed this year. Please dress for the weather.
  • No dogs permitted
  • No restrooms available.
  • Hand saws and tree carts will be disinfected by our Staff before each use. We strongly encourage you to bring your own saw (NO CHAINSAWS ALLOWED).
  • Pre-measured twine will be available and handed out upon request. We strongly encourage you to bring your own twine or hold down straps to secure your tree.
  • We offer early pre-tagging and pick up of our taller trees since they require multiple people to process.

Our process

Our family takes great pride in our well-groomed farm, healthy trees, gorgeous greens and real friendly service. We have mechanical shakers that shake loose debris from the trees, we fresh cut the base and drill it to your liking, and then wrap the tree in string for easy transportation.

To make sure your tree absorbs water, we give it a fresh cut. We drill for Stand Strait tree stands for no additional charge.

Load It Up & Go

Our baler wraps your tree in string for easy transportation.   Be sure to get your tree into water as soon as you get home and always keep the water level above the base of the trunk.

TALL TREES: We’re bringing in tall trees (10ft+) from other fields for Black Friday and when time permits, first come, first serve, no holds.

For this season we will offering early season tagging of 100 or so premium 7-8ft, 8-9ft, and 9-10ft trees. As before, there will be no cutting in this field. Trees are pre-tagged with size, price, variety, and location. Upon selection of an available tree, we will take full payment, cash, credit, or check, and schedule a Friday (preferred) for pick up. Your selected tree will be cut, baled, drilled for our special stand if needed, and ready for your pickup day.

**We do not have tall trees available for tagging. We will have a limited selection precut trees 10ft + available from our offsite fields starting to arrive for the season by Black Friday November 25th. They will be available while they last, on a first come first serve basis. You can purchase then, and we can hold until later if needed.

Christmas shop Lot #1 49 Seekonk Rd. We have greatly expanded our shop, and it is the home base for all accessories for you Christmas needs. We have all our greenery, wreaths, roping, swags, kissing balls, centerpieces, grave blankets, Custom work also. Tree stands, trays, watering elves, maple syrup & maple cotton candy, local honey, jams, Rolling Rock salts, Barrington Coffee Roasting Coffee, candles, ornaments, lights, children’s books, puzzles, Christmas cards, plush toys, all kinds of decorations, tree removal bags, toppers, tree skirts, wood crafted products, antiques, and much more.

Finding the Farm

Seekonk Tree Farm is 21 acres of rolling hills in Great Barrington, MA. Located where the Hudson Valley meets the Berkshires, we’re just 2 miles east of the New York state border and 12 miles north of the Connecticut state line.

The farm has three lots:
Lot 1 has our Tall Trees and Gift Shop
Lot 2 is our Choose and Cut lot open only on weekends.
Lot 3 is our Choose and Cut lot open daily.

All three lots have precut trees, wreaths, kissing balls and more.
